You might remember me. We corresponded about publishing your book a few years ago. I notice you self-published and your book is up on Amazon. Actually two books. Nice going. This is a cool website, too. Great photos.
Anyway, I have a question about Sassy Sally’s that you might be the only one with the answer to. We were asked a question about the Neon Cowgirl — is her name Sassy Sally or Vegas Vickie?
As far as I can tell, the Cowgirl was installed atop the Granny Goose in 1980, while you didn’t open Sassy Sally’s until 1983. So unless you named your joint after the neon sign (which would surprise me), the sign was called Vegas Vickie and people over the years have mistakenly called her Sassy Sally.
If you can shed any light on this question, it would be much appreciated.
Hello Herb, it has been a long time since we last spoke. I have been living overseas since 2003. Do you ever talk to Brad Scott? I have kept up with your career and also Glitter Gulch. Please write when you have a chance and let’s catch up. Thanks, Keith
